An Apostille is best explained as an official certification provided under The Hague Convention of 1961 for authenticating documents for use in foreign countries. Its function is to certify the authenticity of the signature of a document, for fraud prevention. The Apostille is issued as an additional attachment to your documents, and validates your documents’ authenticity to a foreign entity, or to the foreign country who is requiring you present the document and apostille to.
